Rachel Wirtshafter, MPH, is a public health professional currently working at Weill Cornell Medical Center as a Pediatric Behavioral Health Program Coordinator. In this role, she assists in the development of an integrated behavioral health program in the outpatient pediatric clinic. She earned her graduate degree in Public Health at Northeastern University. She is interested in suicide prevention among high-risk pediatric populations, improving prevention, identification and treatment of precursors to chronic mental illness and substance abuse, and reducing disparities in access to mental health care among low-income pediatric populations.
