Katherine Lingras, PhD, LP

Associate Professor & Child Psychologist, University of Minnesota

Dr. Katherine (Katie) Lingras is an Associate Professor and Child Psychologist at the University of Minnesota in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. Dr. Lingras specializes in early childhood mental health, with an emphasis on behavioral concerns and trauma. In addition to direct clinical care and supervision of trainees, Dr. Lingras works in community-based settings like preschools and primary care clinics to train multi-disciplinary providers to understand and identify children’s mental health concerns. Dr. Lingras also serves in various Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion leadership roles in her department, at the Medical School, and in the community. She regularly conducts trainings that integrate her passion for DEI work with her children’s mental health expertise. Dr. Lingras received her PhD from the University of Minnesota’s Institute for Child Development and her BA and MA from Stanford University. In her free time, Dr. Lingras enjoys singing with her community women’s choir, hiking, running, and biking the trails around the Twin Cities, Auntie-ing activities with her niece and nephews. Dr. Lingras lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota with her partner and 3 furry children.
