Dr. Ian Cook is a Developmental Psychologist who began his career researching how infants and toddlers connect, communicate, and learn during social interaction, and how understanding social and communicative development can inform the early identification and treatment of Autism. In his 15 years in the field, experience working with children and families in research, treatment, and school settings revealed a passion for seeing social engagement blossom and families thrive. As the Director of Clinical Excellence at Catalight, Dr. Cook contributes to family wellbeing through a variety of means: delivering family-centered diagnostic and assessment services virtually and in the clinic; working with Catalight’s Clinical Standards Board to establish guidelines and practices; partnering with a multidisciplinary team to conduct applied research to improve clinical outcomes and expand access to diagnostic and treatment services for communities in need.
