Christine Maia

Director of Early Learning, Shine Early Learning

Christine Maia has 18 years of experience working with families and children aged from birth to 5 years in the roles of classroom teacher, disability specialist and coach, and center director. She is currently working in the role of interim Vice President of Early Learning for Shine Early Learning. Christine attended Seton Hall University for Elementary/Special Education with a content major in English. Christine specializes in inclusivity within childcare programs for children with suspected and diagnosed disabilities. She is dedicated to high quality early childhood education for all children. She believes these early years are crucial to their success later in life. A high quality education meets children where they are and challenges them to grow; it also recognizes that parents/guardians are the child’s first teacher and partners with them for greater impact. When she is not researching the latest and greatest in education, you can find her basking in the sunshine on a beach or trying a new recipe during those Florida rain showers!
