Rebecca Sellman is a therapist who has a passion for Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health. She began her career as an Early Childhood Educator in 2013, but later pursued her education at McDaniel College receiving her Bachelor’s in Social Work, minoring in Sociology and Psychology. Understanding that there is so much to the development of children and their Mental Health, Rebecca later went on to University of Maryland, School of Social Work, receiving a Master’s in Clinical Social Work. Rebecca’s passion is supporting Mental Health through utilizing play therapy, behavioral management therapy, CBT, and trauma therapy. She focuses her work with keeping the importance of early interventions, and advocating for children, adolescents and families in mind. Rebecca also works as a Counselor and HealthySteps Specialist at University of Maryland, Baltimore. She is currently a HealthySteps Ambassador working to build trauma informed implementations to pediatric settings. In her spare time, she enjoys singing and artwork. She also works with teens in her ministry encouraging creativity, and a safe space.
