Christine Low, PhD

Clinical Psychologist and Associate Professor, Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University / Bradley Hospital

Christine M. Low, PhD is a clinical psychologist with the Early Childhood Collaborative of Bradley Hospital and an Associate Professor in the Departments of Psychiatry and Human Behavior and in Pediatrics at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Dr. Low serves as the Chief Psychologist for Bradley Hospital. Her clinical service and research interests are in the areas of infant and early childhood mental health (IECMH), with an emphasis on the development, delivery and evaluation of community-based early childhood mental health consultation, reflective practice and supervision (RP/S), and evidenced-based interventions. Dr. Low has a history of consulting with varied state agencies on early childhood systems of care, including collaborations on the development of a statewide framework for implementing IECMH Consultation and RP/S for family visitors. She co-created the Reflective Practice and Supervision (RP/S) curricula highlighted in this work. Additionally, through clinical work and teaching she addresses early caregiver-child relationships and family functioning, developmental psychopathology, and the development of children and families in risk contexts. Dr. Low is endorsed as an Infant Mental Health Mentor-Clinical (IMH-E® IV-C) by the Rhode Island Association for Infant Mental Health (RIAIMH) Endorsement System.
